Industrial Sales Manager

For nearly 40 years, Creeden & Associates has been one of the leading sales & marketing firms in the Home Improvement Industry proudly representing some of the most powerful brands with the world’s largest retail, industrial and e-commerce customers.  Creeden provides exceptional value in all sales & marketing activities to grow our manufacturer & retail partner’s business through field sales, trade show support, headquarter programs and relationship management.

Location: Remote, US, Preferably Midwest location close to International Airport

Title: Industrial Sales Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Industrial customers outside sales teams to drive product conversion with Creeden manufacturer programs, with a focus on Grainger & Fastenal sellers.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key vertical sellers to drive sales in the field including the Hospitality, Healthcare, Institutional, government & National Account verticals.
  • Collaborate & execute manufacturer KPI’s with regular reporting of progress.
  • Conduct in Field Training with customer National Accounts, vertical sales teams and end user accounts to drive awareness and sales enablement.
  • Create customer sales tools (e-books, catalogs, etc.).
  • Support Headquarter sales and back-office initiatives as needed.
  • Attend customer Trade Shows & other key meetings as needed

 

Required Competencies:

  • Sales – Must have a proven track record of successful B2B selling with an emphasis on the Industrial Channel.
  • Travel – Must be able to travel extensively (50% )
  • Business Acumen – Ability to navigate complex relationships in a professional & high performing way.
  • Organization – Must be highly organized with excellent follow up skills.
  • Ability to work Independently -  This role will require aligning on a strategy and direction and running with it. 
  • Business Development – this is a BD sales role that requires the ability to connect with new people and create sales opportunities independently.  Must be able to identify key opportunities that can deliver results and revenue while avoiding those that won’t.
  • Communication – Must be effective at communicating activity that supports our supplier partner & customer’s strategy.  Must be able to communicate across all levels of a customer or end user’s team (from support to executive).

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (equivalent relevant work experience will be considered) and a minimum of 2 years working with the Grainger or Fastenal field sales team, or similar experience working in the Industrial/MRO space
  • Strategic Sales Leader capable of identifying & driving key sales opportunities & strategies
  • Self-Starting, ability to work independently
  • High level of personal & professional integrity
  • History of successfully selling across varied levels of an organization
