Job Title: National Sales Trainer

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Field Sales– Maintain high level of service in current territory, remain an example of execution of field sales practices at the highest level. Continue to perform the functions of a Territory Sales Representative while not engaged in training responsibilities.
  • Professional Development Program – Creeden is committed to our development program – this position will work closely with the Regional Manager team to ensure that the NSF portion of the Professional Development Program is fully planned & executed to maximize the training experience.  The National Sales Trainer will be expected to coordinate schedules, plan territory assignments and work in person at times with the PDP team. 
  • Travel & Field Support – The National Sales Trainer will be the primary trainer for new sales reps, sales reps struggling with core vendor sales, and/or sales reps that have been assigned improvement plans.  It will be necessary to travel to other sale rep territories nationally in order to perform much of this training.
  • Trade Shows - The National Sales Trainer will work with the Account Management team and the Regional Managers to coordinate and organize all necessary training at trade shows.  This person is expected to attend up to 8 trade shows per year and help maximize in person training opportunities at those events.  It is likely this person will be required to work a booth.
  • Best Practice Sales – Maintain a working knowledge of sales focus on defined key vendor programs and initiatives to help define, lead, and train in best practice sales execution for these strategic categories.

Required Competencies

  • High Level Product Knowledge – In order to train and lead our sales team, this position requires a high-level knowledge of our key vendor partners product lines, new product launches and strategic promotions.
  • Best Practice Sales Process – Continuously engage with sales leadership to stay aligned to Creeden best practice and sales programs to best train & facilitate execution of those expectations nationally.

  • Ability to Travel – In addition to standard NSF overnight travel to support sales efforts, trade shows, industry events and field merchandising projects (greater than 50% travel required regularly) there will be an additional minimum of eight weeks to support sales training in the field including with current sales reps, new hires and the professional development program candidates.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • 7 Years Equivalent Work Experience
  • Demonstrated excellence with Creeden best practice sales
